Highway 50 & Vienna Woods. This is involving a school bus. Please slow down and watch for traffic. Traffic is backed up at this time due to road blockage.

We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but the fire department can’t fill swimming pools this summer.
Between liability issues, equipment policies, and the possibility of “extra flavoring” from fire hydrant water, it’s just not something we’re able to do. While we’d love to make everyone’s backyard feel like a water park , our trucks and hydrants are reserved for emergencies — and nobody wants their pool party tasting faintly of rusty pipe and hard work anyway.
You provide the water and we will bring the floaties. We appreciate everyone understanding, and we hope you all have a safe, fun, sunscreen-covered summer filled with plenty of swimming, grilling , and staying cool the non-fire-truck way!

REOPENED AS OF 12:30AM on 5/3/26

🚨🚨 HIGHWAY 185 🚨🚨

Please avoid 185 South between Beaufort and the MODOT shed/ Fox Creek Rd. The highway will be shut down for a while due to tow crews setting a tractor trailer back on the road. Allow room for crews to work and find an alternative route.

We will advise when it has reopened.

Slow down and be alert. Let these men and women make it home to their families.

🚨🚨 Attention 🚨🚨

If you see the large amount of smoke in the area of Station 1 (Hwy 50 and Hwy 185) do not be alarmed. Your firefighters are training to better prepare for emergencies. This is expected to go into around noon today.
