Update:

There has not been much change in the forecast for what is now Tropical Storm Beryl. For the Beaumont area, we are expecting to see up to 8 inches of rain throughout the day with the most severe weather impacting the area Monday morning. Weather impacts from Beryl will be similar to severe thunderstorms traditionally experienced in the area, which include damaging winds. Please use caution when out in severe weather.

07/06/2024

The Beaumont OEM continues to actively monitor Tropical Storm Beryl. The system has weakened some and remained on a Northwest track. Weather forecasters have increased confidence in a South-Central Texas coast landfall near Port Lavaca on Monday. The primary impacts to the Beaumont area is excessive rainfall up to 8 inches. By mid-week, the area should see improved weather conditions as the system dissipates. We will continue to monitor this system.

We encourage you to continue monitoring weather conditions and make preparations for deteriorating weather conditions. Please use verified sources of information for your planning purposes.
