The 18-wheeler was carrying a toxic chemical called isobutane, which leaked out onto the road. Because of this, families living nearby were forced to evacuate their homes.

Last night Yvonne and Jessica attended the East Texas Mutual Aid Meeting in Magnolia Springs. It was a very informative meeting and hopefully through these regular meetings we will be able to increase our presence and volunteers in Jasper County!

The tropics are heating up again! There's a disturbance, Invest 94L, that will likely develop into a named storm in the next 48 hours and it will be near the coast of Louisiana. If it gets a name, it will be "Danielle." Please update your availability in the DSHR system and check your disaster supply kit!
