I was so honored ths evening to attend the Distinguished Alumni Dinner at Southern Arkansas University and to receive one of the Distinguished Alumni Awards. It was a special evening. Many thanks to the University and Alumni for allowing me to be part of the legacy of such a wonderful University.

Thank you Justice Kreger for administering the oath of office and swearing me in during the January 1, 2015, "Swearing-In Ceremony" in Conroe. It was an honor to be sworn-in at the same time as our Chief Justuce, Steve McKeithen. Montgomery County hosted a wonderful event. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of the ceremony.

I enjoyed speaking at the Liberty County Republican Women's meeting this week. Thank you ladies for making me feel at home, for all of your support, and for your words of encouragement. Your group continues to make a difference in Liberty County, in Southeast Texas, and beyond.

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of participating on a panel with other Appellate Justices at the Advanced Civil Appellate Practice Course and Seminar in Austin.

After the seminar, I had the pleasure of attending the Mighty Oaks Warrior Foundation event at WoodsEdge Community Church in Spring, where I had the opportunity to share a meal with some wonderful people, hear Sarah Palin speak, and enjoy music from Embassy Worship. It was a great evening, with an inspiring message from an important faith-based charity.

Yesterday, I enjoyed attending the 25th birthday luncheon of the GTRW, where we heard a powerful message from guest speaker Jody Rushton, President of TFRW, the most powerful women's political organization in the great State of Texas.

Also, I just received an uplifting and encouraging letter and a donation from the LCARW PAC. Thank you ladies for your support. I am humbled and honored to serve our community.

Some good news! I was honored to receive notification that the TFRW PAC will be making a contribution to my campaign. Thank you TFRW!

I also want to extend a special thank you to the GTRW (Denise, Sandra, Janice, Marie). I am grateful to have support from so many kind, smart, talented, hardworking, and patriotic women.
