We are having a new event this year at Highland Academy! We are calling this event our "Shining Student" event. The purpose of this event is to help our current and past students get their small businesses out into the community. If your student(s) has an item that they would like to sell at our event, please fill out the interest form below.

Event is on Friday, September 11th from 5-6:15pm
Setup is from 4-5pm. There is NO vendor fee.

Dear Husky Families,

The first day of school is behind us, and we are off to a fantastic start! To our returning students: welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful summer. To our new Huskies: Welcome to Highland Academy! We hope your time with us is filled with fun and growth, and we are certain that great things are ahead. As we conclude this first week, please note a few quick reminders:

- Tomorrow, Friday, August 7, 2026, is an early release day with dismissal at 1:02 p.m.

- We are currently distributing student IDs. Many students received theirs at Back to School Night or today, and we will continue the process tomorrow. Once distribution is complete next week, our new school ID policy will go into effect. Students will be required to have their ID cards visible when entering campus and throughout the day, with the exception of PE class. Thank you, students, for your diligence in wearing them!

- Given the high temperatures, we are implementing inclement weather procedures to keep everyone cool and safe. PE classes are being held primarily indoors, and students are avoiding strenuous physical activities during the day. We also encourage all students to bring water bottles, which can be refilled at any of our campus water stations.

- We ask for your support in ensuring all student attire adheres to the dress code. Details can be found on page 21 of our Family Handbook.

We are off to a great start, Huskies—let’s keep it going!

Dear Husky Families,

We hope you are enjoying your summer! As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to invite you to our Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to visit our campus, meet your teachers, and finalize any remaining registration items. Most importantly, students will be able to pick up their class schedules and family handbooks, as well as have their photos taken for their student IDs—a new requirement this year. We look forward to seeing you there!

For students unable to attend on Tuesday, these items will be available in the main office on Wednesday, August 5th, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We hope to see you soon!

If you haven’t already, please feel free to stop by Beaumont Market Night this summer to say hi to the Highland Academy team! We’ll be out in force most Thursdays to connect with our amazing community.

We’ve got fun activities, giveaways, and a very special project: our "Husky Alumni Board!"

We were absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude this evening by the dozens of current and former students who stopped by. We want to give every past and present husky a chance to sign their name and share what Highland means to them.

Come find us next Thursday—we can't wait to see you!
