WHAT TO WEAR AT TFRW CONVENTION
This is one of the most commonly asked questions about Convention, especially from those who are new to TFRW Conventions. The answer is, wear what you want to wear! You will see many different and creative outfits! Some clubs have special creations and dress alike. Some delegates have a new dress or suit for the occasion and we love to see those. And business attire is a solid decision, especially if you are going to be in the Program and onstage.
The TFRW is selling Iron Ladies Tee shirts and those will be popular as well - and some of you are dressing as Rosie the Riveter, and that will be great fun. So enjoy yourself!
Friday Evening of the Convention is an exception. This is an evening of honoring our Ten Outstanding Republican Women, the Kay Bailey Hutchison Award, and the Legacy Award; it is a good excuse to wear that party dress or elegant pant suit – a fun night for dress up.
The President’s Dinner, Saturday Night, is also a very dressy event! Get out those great shoes and that glitzy outfit!
Here are a few points that you may want to consider:
*Bring a pair of comfortable Walking Shoes. Those new red heels are stunning but you will be walking and using very steep escalators at the Convention Center. Having a pair of VERY comfortable walking shoes is really almost a requirement! You can put them in your bag if you want to start out with those sassy heels, but you will be happy you brought the others, believe us!
*Bring a Jacket. Eight hundred women never agree on the right temperature. There will be a time when you will want to have it.
