Golden Triangle RSVP Your one-stop shop for finding your volunteer opportunity match in Southeast Texas. Are you 55 years or older? Do you want to give back to your community?

Do you live in Hardin, Jefferson or Orange County Texas? If you answered “YES” to these questions, then you need to become a Golden Triangle RSVP volunteer. We are actively looking for someone just like you to volunteer through our organization. RSVP means Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, we are a volunteer recruitment and placement service. We match people 55 years and older with non-profit

organizations in their community - organizations like Orange Christian Services, Some Other Place, Beaumont Veterans Affairs Clinic, American Red Cross, Nutrition & Services for Seniors, Catholic Charities, United Board of Missions, Beaumont ISD, and many other locations throughout Southeast Texas. Volunteering is an individual choice with numerous benefits. You must make the choice and the commitment to volunteer in order to have a positive impact in your community and enjoy the mental, physical and emotional benefits that serving others brings. Remember - there is always something that can be done for the betterment of your community. Please make the choice to act and serve others today! According to Psychology Today, people who volunteer live longer, healthier lives. Volunteering is even more beneficial for one's health than exercising and eating well. Older people who volunteer remain physically functional longer, have more robust psychological well-being, and live longer. Volunteering serves to express and facilitate opportunities to carry out one’s sense of purpose. The very nature of volunteering means choosing to work without being paid for it. As a result, people choose to spend their time on issues they feel strongly about. If you are greatly concerned about the education and well-being of children, for example, volunteering as an elementary school tutor will help you address a social problem that is meaningful to you.

It was an amazing day yesterday at the Jasper County Retired and Senior Ice Cream Social. A great turnout! AND we recruited a couple new volunteers! HUGE Thanks to Synergy HomeCare for sponsoring and to Jasper County Judge Mark Allen and his team for allowing us the space to host the event at their Courthouse Annex building. Ms. Renie Simmons, RSVP volunteer at Kirbyville Christian Outreach, was recognized as this quarter's Volunteer in the Spotlight! Lots of great door prizes and happy winners AND awesome fellowship over tasty ice cream and coffee. Will definitely hold this event again next year!

Such a rewarding opportunity to help get the pups adopted!

The rain has cleared, school is out, and the dogs are READY for an adventure! ☀️🐶🐾

Kick off summer with a Doggie Day Out! It's a fun and completely FREE activity for both the kids and the dogs! Our shelter dogs spend most of their days in kennels while they wait for adoption or rescue, and you can help change that by treating one to the best day ever around town!

Dogs can be checked out as early as 10 AM and must return at least one hour before closing. What happens in between is up to you! Whether you grab a pup cup, explore the trails, relax on a patio, or enjoy a cozy movie marathon at home, we know your furry sidekick will love every minute of it.

A break from the shelter does so much for these dogs mentally and physically, and it also helps us learn more about their personalities while getting adorable new photos and videos to help them get adopted. In today’s digital world, a fun outing and cute pictures can truly change a dog’s life!

Need ideas for your adventure? Here are a few favorites:
🐾 Grab a pup cup at Starbucks
🐾 Take a scenic stroll at Cattail Marsh
🐾 Go shopping at Puppy Love and Pippa’s Closet
🐾 Walk the Hike & Bike trails
