🗳️ IMPORTANT TEXAS VOTER INFORMATION

What does “SUSPENSE” mean on my voter registration?

If your voter registration status is listed as SUSPENSE, this does not mean that your voter registration has been canceled or that you are no longer registered to vote.

A voter may be placed on the suspense list when additional information is needed to confirm or update their residential address.

If you continue to reside in the county where you are registered, you may be asked to complete a Statement of Residence when you appear to vote. Once the required information is provided, you may vote a regular ballot, provided you meet all other voter eligibility requirements.

📌 Important: A voter being listed on the suspense list does not automatically require the voter to cast a provisional ballot.

Voters are encouraged to verify their voter registration information before Election Day and ensure that their information is current and accurate.

For Jefferson County voters with questions regarding their registration status, please contact the:

📞 Jefferson County Voter Registrar’s Office
(409) 835-8683

If you reside in another Texas county, please contact your County Voter Registrar’s Office for assistance.
