The annual spring forestry fire season and burn ban has technically ended as of yesterday. But please keep in mind that we are still under drought conditions and are short several inches of rainfall for the year. Please refrain from burning on windy days or near brush lands. If you must open burn, have a water source and/or proper equipment nearby to keep the fire contained. Remember to call and notify dispatch at (270) 298-4411 if you plan on having a controlled burn.

Very thankful for the donation! Unfortunately the service we provide can be very costly between equipment, maintenance, and everything in between. Every donation, regardless how big or small always goes such a long way in helping us ensure we have all the needed equipment to continue to serve the great people of Beaver Dam and Ohio County. So truly from all of us thank you!

‼️Weather information 12/28/25‼️
Please share!

An artic cold front will be moving into our area this afternoon with rain and some storms beginning around 6pm. When that front comes in, there will be a small potential for dangerous storms and brief chance of a tornado. The biggest issue with this system will be the 40 degree drop in temperature overnight, which will lead to flash freezing. If the roads look wet tonight and in the morning it’s because they are frozen. Please take extra time and be careful and be prepared for frozen roads. If you don’t have to travel in the early to mid morning, we ask that you don’t. As always, thank you for your support and stay safe!
