Green Valley Enterprises

Green Valley Enterprises Green Valley Enterprises has made a difference in the lives of Dodge County residents for over 40 years.
(14)

Green Valley was established in 1968, due in large part to the advocacy efforts of a handful of friends and families of individuals with special needs. A small "sheltered workshop" was born based on the needs of the time. In the late '60's and early '70's sheltered workshops popped up across the country; a progressive step to be sure. Since their humble beginnings much has changed and evolved; man

y sheltered workshops either couldn't, or wouldn't, keep up with the progress advocates continued to make on behalf of individuals with special needs. Those that remained stagnant are no longer a part of the 21st Century landscape. Fortunately for Dodge County families, Green Valley continued to strive for greater community inclusivity and diversity, while creating new and innovative paths toward independence for the 400 plus families in need of Green Valley's services. Today, more than 50 full time, and 25 part time employees work as a team to achieve the Agency's mission. Green Valley relies on a range of revenues to provide the best and most individualized programming, services, and supports for individuals including: various government programs, grants, private payments, subcontracting income, and the generous support of local community residents and businesses.
