The Parents Over Platforms Act sounds like a child safety bill. But it could actually protect Big Tech instead of children. POPA offers vague “protections” while potentially shielding tech companies from real accountability when kids are harmed online. Parents deserve legislation that puts children first, not industry interests. We need meaningful reform, real transparency, and laws that hold platforms accountable when they facilitate exploitation and abuse. Read more about why we're sounding the alarm on POPA at the link below. 👇

A new study found that viewing po*******hy may impair the brain’s ability to make sound decisions, raising serious concerns about its impact on mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. Po*******hy doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Its effects can shape how people think, process risk, and respond to the world around them. We need reform for 230!

The Supreme Court declined to hear the child exploitation case against X/Twitter, a deeply disappointing decision for survivors and advocates seeking accountability from Big Tech. The ruling tees up a renewed battle in Congress over Section 230 reform and leaves unresolved whether tech companies can continue claiming sweeping immunity even when child s*xual abuse material is distributed on their platforms. Congress must act to ensure Section 230 is not used to shield platforms from accountability in cases involving child exploitation. Read our full statement below.

Predators continue to use the Snapchat to target children for s*xtortion, grooming, and exploitation. Internal documents and whistleblower accounts suggest Snap repeatedly ignored or delayed important safety fixes to protect user engagement metrics. Features like disappearing messages, Quick Add, Snap Map, and My AI can make it easier for predators to contact, manipulate, and exploit minors, while making harmful interactions harder for parents to detect. Parents deserve to know the risks. Kids deserve safer online spaces. Learn more and take action at the link below. 👇
