We’re excited to partner with the Youth Enrichment League (YEL) to bring hands-on, high-quality summer camps to our community through the Beaver Dam Recreation Department!

🌟 Stitch Up Some Summer Fun! 🧵

Looking for a creative, hands-on activity for your child this summer? Join the Kids’ Sewing Camps—a special collaboration between the Beaver Dam Recreation Department and the Nancy Zieman Sewing Studio—starting the week of June 15!

✨ These are one-day camps, so you can choose to sign up for just one project—or join us for all of them!

✂️ Camp Projects Include:
👩‍🍳 Apron
👒 Bucket Hat
🛏️ T-Shirt Pillow
🧵 40" x 40" Quilt
👖 Lounge Pants

Kids will learn essential sewing skills while creating projects they’ll love and use—all in a fun, supportive environment led by expert instructors. Perfect for beginners and those looking to build their skills! Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend with their child.

Kids will also get to pick their own fabrics!

Join us for our Wet & Wild Summer Kick-Off at the Splash Pad for an evening packed with family fun, community connections, and everything you need to kick off the season right! Meet the Recreation Department team, explore summer programs, and connect with the amazing community partners helping make this summer unforgettable. 🌈🎉

🙌 Enjoy FREE family-friendly fun, including 🎧 a DJ, 🎤 karaoke, 🏰 bounce house, 🎨 hands-on crafts, 🎯 giant games, 🎭 face painting, and even special animal ambassadors from Marsh Haven Nature Center! 🐢🦉

🐄 In celebration of June Dairy Month, the Leipsic 4-H Club will be sponsoring free string cheese and dairy games, and First Lutheran Church will be treating all ages to free ice cream 🍦 and free bike helmets for kids 🚲.

🌭 Hungry? We’ve got you covered! Grab a brat and a beverage (soda or water) for just $2 while you soak up all the fun! 😎💧

Want to learn a fun, stimulating, and strategic game? Come Join us at The Watermark in Beaver Dam for Intro to American Mah Jongg!

🀄 This FREE drop-in program is a great way to challenge your mind, meet new people, and discover why so many players love this classic game.

Instructors Pam Flock and Toni King will guide beginners through the basics during four sessions on June 2, 5, 9, and 12 (Tuesdays and Fridays) from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.

No registration is required—just drop in and give it a try! We highly recommend attending all four sessions for the best experience.
