As 2021 winds down, we wanted to recap our year in numbers. Our successful year is thanks to your support of these incredible candidates!

The Voices community supported 8 candidates for office this year from 3 counties and 5 different jurisdictions.

7 of our 8 endorsed candidates won their primary elections and 4 won their general elections this year.

25% of our candidates identify as LGBTQ+, including Andrew W. Henley, who made history as the first openly gay man to receive a major party nomination in a Lawrence County-wide election.

50% of our candidates are Black, including Kenya Johns who will be the first Black woman to be mayor of Beaver Falls and David Ward who will be the first Black man to serve on New Castle City Council.

63% of our candidates are women, including Peggy Evans and Vanessa Taylor who will be serving alongside Kenya Johns as members of Beaver Falls City Council.
