What a busy August 2026 for the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department!

Started off the month with the car cruise station fill. Training every Monday night and recently been teaching our new junior firefighters the basics. We also learned and refreshed our members about First Aid/CPR.. thank you to Mark Vandenbord Learn 4 Life CPR - CPR & First Aid Training

Then to end up responding to 42 calls for service during the month which is the busiest month recorded in department history. 21 calls in town and also 21 calls to our mutual aid response areas like Vanport, Bridgewater, Brighton Twp, New Brighton and Rochester. Currently as of this post on 9/1/2026 the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department has responded to a total of 191 calls in 2026.

Good morning, and welcome to Car Cruise Day in Beaver!

Today, Beaver’s streets and parks will be filled with incredible vehicles, great food, local shopping, and visitors from across the region for one of the area’s premier automotive events.

Please note that streets will close at 11:00 a.m. as the Car Cruise officially gets underway. Spend the day exploring downtown, supporting our local businesses, and enjoying everything the event has to offer.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this event possible each year. We hope you have a wonderful day in Beaver, and as always, please travel safely!

Beaver VFD was requested by Beaver PD and dispatched to the 1600 block of River Road to assist with a rescue operation for a dog over the hillside approximately 20 feet. Chief Meers (101-10) requested Brighton Twp. Station 63 to respond with their Rescue for a rope/hauling operations. After arrival it took about 15-20 minutes after getting everyone up to safety. Thank you to our friends at Brighton Twp. VFD - Station 63 for the assist!
