Last night, Beaver County, in conjunction with our municipal partners and the counties of Allegheny, Lawrence, Columbiana, Butler, Washington, and Hancock, along with PEMA, OEMA, and WVEMA, successfully participated in the biennial FEMA-evaluated exercise for the Beaver Valley Power Station.

This mandatory exercise ensures that all participating agencies and personnel are adequately prepared to respond effectively to a radiological emergency at the Beaver Valley Power Station. We extend our gratitude to our partners, counterparts, and staff for their tireless efforts and collaboration, which contributed significantly to the exercise's success. Their dedication to maintaining community safety and preparedness is truly appreciated.

Join us this Sunday, June 7th, for the annual Support Our Troops Rally at the Gazebo in Irvine Park. This community tradition is an opportunity to show our support for those who have served our country.

The event begins at 3:00PM and will feature food, live music, and fellowship. Bring a chair or blanket, gather with friends and neighbors, and spend the afternoon showing our troops and veterans that their service is appreciated. See you there!

It’s going to be a beautiful day in Beaver tomorrow! Wake up early and join us for the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department 5k/10k Race. Walk up sign ups are available! We still have shirts! 10k at 8am then the toddler run at 915 (shirts available) then the 5K Run/Walk.

The beaver county court house parking garage is closed so please give yourself enough time to get the starting line at River Rd/Market.

This is a family friendly event so there will be things for the kids to do!

We are over 400 runners who signed up online. Help us get to 500 total!
