Lorenzo Lopez, representative of Sports field Managers Association (SFMA) and with the Utah Rec and Parks Association, presented the Sports Field Manager of the year to Santiago Amezcua. Mr. Lopez conveyed a message from Dan Farnes of Real Salt Lake, who was unable to attend, stating: “Santi’s award proves that Beaver City doesn’t just have great fields you have regional class, award-winning experiences right here on your municipal payroll”
Santi thanked the council, his team members Brennen and Bridger, and City Manager Hawkins for their support. He also thanked SFMA and URPA organizations for their recognition.

PUBLIC HEARING RESCHEDULED. Our public hearing - originally advertised in the local newspaper for June 9th is cancelled. It is now rescheduled for Tuesday, June 16th, 2026. Please check the Beaver City website for updates about the Public Hearing, www.beavercityut.gov.

We would like to inform Beaver City residents that representatives working with Beaver City’s Electrical Department will be in various areas throughout the city over the coming weeks marking utility poles and recording GPS locations of poles as part of a system inventory and infrastructure update.
Residents may notice personnel working near roadways, easements, and utility poles during this process. The work is informational only and is intended to improve the accuracy of Beaver Power System records and mapping.
