🚨 ⚠️ UPDATE 11:20 am Sebring Rd and Bradys Run Road are open to traffic ⚠️🚨

Due to downed trees and communication lines, Sebring Road is currently closed below Fletcher Road, and Bradys Run Road is closed near the lake.

All affected utility companies have been notified and are responding.

Please avoid these areas and use alternate routes until the roads are reopened. We will provide updates as conditions change.

🚨 School Resumes Tomorrow! 🚨

The Beaver Area School District resumes classes tomorrow. Please be alert for increased traffic around our schools and for children walking to and from bus stops.

Remember, the speed limit in an active school zone is 15 MPH. Watch for slowing and stopped school buses, and you must stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing.

Please slow down, stay alert, and do your part to keep our children safe.

Chief Howard Blinn is retiring after more than 35 years on the job with 26 of those years being of exemplary leadership and selfless service with the Brighton Township Police Department.

Chief Blinn began his career with the Brighton Township Police Department in 2000 as a Patrolman, attaining the rank of Sergeant in 2002, and subsequently appointed as Chief of Police in 2007. During his career, his vision, integrity, and determination transformed the police department into what it is today. He led with courage during difficult times, humility in moments of success, and compassion in every decision. Through his leadership, he helped build a legacy of professionalism, strength, and pride that will continue to guide those who wear the badge for years to come.
The lives he touched, the officers he’s mentored, and the communities he served are all better because of his dedication. His legacy is not measured only by awards or accomplishments, but by the relationships and trust that was built and the safer, stronger communities he helped create. While his badge may be retired, the values he instilled, the standards he set, and the difference he made will remain a permanent part of this department and the communities.

The Brighton Township Police Department and Brighton Twp / Beaver Area Communities thank you for your dedicated service, compassion, and unwavering commitment. It has been an honor to serve alongside you and witness the difference you have made. You will be missed by all.
