Playground42 is going to be closing permanently!!

After a lot of thought and prepping, we've made the decision to permanently close P42 in mid to late December 2026 (exact date will be announced as it gets closer).

Building this business was, and continues to be, a huge undertaking and we're incredibly thankful to every family who visited, purchased memberships, celebrated a birthday or special event with us, or otherwise supported our little corner of the community. We loved being a home away from home for your family and hope you made lots of fond memories too. Thank you so much for being a part of this experience.

Here's what to know as we approach our closing date:
1. For now, our current schedule will remain the same. There's a possibility of adjustments as we get closer to our holidays and final weeks, so keep an eye on our social media, booking page, and google for updates on open days/hours.
2. Memberships: Quarterly (and previously annual) memberships have now been removed from our offerings. Monthly memberships still exist but will be going away in November.
3. Existing memberships: We'll be spending time leading up to our closing date reviewing memberships that extend beyond 2026 into 2027 and will calculate and offer any applicable refunds/partial refunds. We appreciate your patience as we work through everything carefully, and we'll share more information on that as it becomes available.
4. If you have a party booked, unless we reach out to tell you otherwise, this will not impact your party.

This decision marks the end of one chapter for our family, but also the beginning of another. We're taking this opportunity to focus on what matters most to us and make room for more balance and peace in our lives.

If you'd like to keep up with what comes next for our family, I'd love to stay connected! Currently, I run a couple other more political options if that's up your alley. The Subversive Stitch is where I make alternative, political, grunge/rebellious fiber art, also on Etsy. And I run a cool facebook group currently called Ravelry (extra political).

I'm going to Texas to live out my teenage dream of seeing MCR in concert. 🖤 And transparently I can't afford a cleaning crew in my absence so we have to close. See you back here Tuesday!

Nurse where you want. We have a nursing room if you want privacy (and tbh the recliner in there is NICEE with massage and heat features and there's a mini fridge if needed), but we have always been so transparent that you can nurse where and when ever you need!! If another customer gives you a hard time you can refer them to this post or reach out to me and I'll come kick them out without a refund because I am not going to show an ounce of empathy to someone disrespecting our little p42 family. We're running a 50% off online coupon now through September 22nd for parties (party itself can be for after that date). Use code BEAVERSTRONG at checkout. By using the coupon, the system requires you to pay in full (versus our usual $100 deposit now, pay the rest later). If that's impossible for anyone even after the 50% off, reach out, I can manually invoice you the deposit now and rest later. If the coupon code doesn't work, also reach out. Sometimes our system is just weird 🤷🏻‍♀️

We're running this deal to 1. Continue to draw more attention to Beavercreek, Ohio and the unfair lawsuit between Buc-ees and Beaver Mini mart 2. Continue to share that we stand with local businesses and 3. Give you this deal as a thank you to both our existing and new customers. We've shared that we are a struggling business that might have to close and the increased support lately means a lot. Party bookings make a huge difference, and could be the difference between if this beaver sinks or floats in the end.
