Buenos días a todos! La mayoría probablemente habrán visto la publicación de nuestra directora cancelando la Carrera de los Cougars de hoy. Debido al clima, especialmente por la preocupación por los fuertes vientos, lamentablemente tenemos que posponer nuestra Carrera de las Cougars. Así es como vamos a proceder:
Las fechas de recaudación de fondos no cambiarán. Seguiremos recaudando fondos hasta el 9 de octubre como si la carrera se hubiera realizado según lo previsto. Cuando tengamos una fecha actualizada reabriremos Pledgestar esa semana para acomodar a quienes donen según el número de vueltas que complete un corredor.
Las fiestas de clase y los premios seguirán celebrándose según lo previsto, salvo el estudiante que corra más vueltas. El premio de más vueltas seguirá entregándose después de la Carrera Cougar.
El PTC está realmente agradecido a todos los que han donado su tiempo y fondos a este evento. Aunque no era el resultado que esperábamos, queremos asegurarnos de que haya un entorno divertido y seguro para la Carrera de los Cougars. Estamos trabajando con la administración para encontrar un día alternativo para celebrar el evento y agradecemos su paciencia y comprensión. Mantendremos a todos informados lo antes posible.

Important Update:

- The fundraising dates will not change. We will still be raising funds through October 9 as though the Cougar Run happened on schedule.

- When we have an updated date, we will reopen Pledgestar for that week to accommodate those donating based on the number of laps a runner completes.

- Class parties and prizes will still happen on schedule, with the exception of the student who runs the most laps. The most laps prize will still be handed out after the Cougar Run takes place.

A message from Sarita:

Dear Aloha-Huber Park families,
Because of the severe wind and rainstorm, we have decided to postpone the Cougar Run. While we know how much our students and families have been looking forward to this special event, the safety of our children and school community must come first.

We also recognize that many of you may have made special arrangements, including taking time off work, to participate. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and wanted to communicate the change as soon as possible.

Our PTC and school team are working together to find a new date, and we will share it with you once it is confirmed.

Tomorrow's the big day, 🌧️ or 🌞! We can't wait to see Aloha-Huber Park Cougars give it their all for the Cougar Run.

Thank you to the many volunteers who make this event so successful each year!

There's still time to fill out those online donations and collect cash or checks.

Come support Aloha Huber Park PTC at Chipotle Cedar Hills from 4-8pm tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9. A portion of the night’s profits will be donated to the PTC. These profits go towards teacher appreciation celebrations, classroom needs, and student field trips.

Our first PTC meeting of the 26-27 school year is this Wednesday, September 2, at 7pm in the Aloha-Huber Park Cougars community room. We will be getting to know one another and learning about the many ways to be involved in the PTC. Spanish translation will be provided. Childcare will not be provided, but children are welcome.

Nuestra primera reunión del PTC del año escolar 2026-27 será este miércoles 2 de septiembre a las 7:00 p. m. en la sala comunitaria de Aloha-Huber Park Cougars. Aprovecharemos la ocasión para conocernos y conocer las diversas formas de participar en el PTC. Se ofrecerá servicio de traducción al español. No se ofrecerá servicio de cuidado de niños, pero los niños son bienvenidos.

Can't believe it's June already! Join us this Wednesday for our last PTC meeting of the school year at 7PM in the community room! We will be voting in our new board members and discussing field day and our final dining for dollars fundraiser of the year at Chuck E Cheese this Friday June 5th!
