The first of our Sole Support walks is just over a week away but we still need a few more volunteers in all of our walk site locations: Portland, Bend, Eugene, and Vancouver! Let's put your time and effort to good use to make this year's Sole Support experience spectacular for all who join us.

đź’ŞGot strong muscles? (or teenagers with energy to burn??) We need YOU for set up or tear down!
đź“·Got a nice camera and photography skills? We need YOU to capture the memories!
🙏Got a friendly smile and love to give high fives? We need YOU to help monitor the route to support our walkers.

However you enjoy to show up and support the community, we can't wait to see you soon. Click "Volunteer" on the banner at solesupport.org to access the signup links for each walk location.

Changing lives and bringing hope since 1980! 🌱

A lot has changed over the four decades we have been an organization, but our (grass)roots run deep. Check out this throwback to one of our printed newsletters from September 1981 when Parkinson's Resources was known as the "Willamette-Columbia Parkinsonian Society" or Will-Cope for short.

Built on countless hours of dedicated volunteers organizing support groups and sharing information about how to live well with Parkinson's, we honor their vision and work as we continue to grow services and programs today!

Want to stay connected and keep up with the latest Parkinson’s resources, stories, and updates? Sign up for our Parkinson’s Perspective Newsletter by calling 800.426.6806 and be sure to get our Q4 issue!

While most people understand that Parkinson's can impact balance and walking, we invite you to further explore the fascinating horizon of data collection and research around balance thanks to the work of Dr. Martina Mancini and the team of researchers at the OHSU Balance Disorders Laboratory!

Join us for Research Update: New Insights on Walking and Balance, a webinar exploring what new research is revealing about how we move, maintain balance, and stay steady on our feet. This presentation will feature exciting developments that were recently shared at the World Parkinson Congress in Phoenix, Arizona about the value of digital tools, such as wearable sensors, for measuring walking and daily activities.

Tuesday, September 15th, 2 pm PDT

đź’™ Sole Support is all about COMMUNITY, FAMILY & FRIENDS!

Our Team Captains play a huge role in making Sole Support a success. They're the cheerleaders, connectors, and champions who rally their teams and help bring our community together.

👏 Did you know that teams raised 62% of Sole Support's total revenue in 2025?

That's an incredible impact!

Team Captains are committed to the cause and passionate about supporting the work Parkinson's Resources does right here in our community. Their dedication, energy, and support are truly immeasurable.

To all of our Team Captains — THANK YOU for leading the way! 💙

Ready to start a team or join one? Let's make this year's Sole Support even stronger!

Serve, volley, repeat. Table Tennis in Beaverton is one of the fun ways our community stays active and connected.

This group meets three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 1 to 3 PM, at the Parkinson's Resources of Oregon Main Office. Whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a paddle for the first time, everyone is welcome to join in.

It's more than just a game. It's movement, friendship, and a little friendly competition, all in one afternoon.

Find this and other activities at parkinsonsresources.org, under our event calendar.
