Neighbors Feeding Neighbors fights food insecurity by serving the community with meals four days each week. Members of the Oregon chapter of the American Communist Party recently helped out with these efforts on March 14 in Eugene.

As part of our Party's ongoing national effort to organize drayage truckers, our Chapter is conducting investigations into the conditions of Portland shipping terminals, and the truckers' struggles with the ongoing economic crisis.

On March 7th, members of the ACP Oregon chapter teamed up with the group Burrito Brigade to produce and distribute several hundred burritos to poor and homeless people all around Portland.

Our chapter prides itself on our ability to show up consistently and serve the people wherever they need help.

Hunger in Oregon is a systemic failure. While thousands face food insecurity, our monthly act of preparing and serving over 300 burritos is a direct response—an act of working-class solidarity. We meet this immediate need because our community cannot wait.

This act of community service is one part of a larger fight. The American Communist Party exists to organize the working class against the root causes of this crisis. We don't just serve meals; we build the power to win a future where basic needs like food and housing are guaranteed rights for all hard working Americans.
