The Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority (RCPRA) is soliciting Statements of Proposals (SOPs) from qualified architectural and engineering firms for professional services regarding two upcoming projects.

The first project is for general improvements for Fitzpatrick Park, including upgrades to the softball field lighting and ADA accessible parking and access.
The second project regards the proposed Visitors Center located in Lake Stephens as well as general site improvements intending to support tourism and outdoor recreation within the county.

Practical Magic is this Friday, August 28th at Dry Hill-Prosperity Park!

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and your favorite picnic for an enchanting evening featuring a Witch Hat Contest, handcrafted mocktails from the Owens Sisters' Apothecary, movie concessions, including popcorn, and an outdoor showing of Practical Magic at dusk.

The Witch Hat Contest winner will receive two tickets to see Practical Magic 2 at the Marquee on September 11. In the event of rain, the magic will move indoors at the Dry Hill Park building.

Fall Coed Softball League registration is officially open for Fitzpatrick Park!

Sign up now to secure your spot for the upcoming season before it's too late! It's $400 per team, and the games begin in September and wrap up by the end of October. Ready, set, register!

A huge thank you to Justin Windon and his team with State Farm for donating brand-new basketball nets to Dry Hill-Prosperity Park!

As part of the nationwide State Farm Red Nets initiative, local parks and community centers everywhere are getting a major upgrade. RCPRA is incredibly grateful for this support!

Weather Update: We’re calling off Rollin' Rec at Fitzpatrick Park because dodging lightning bolts and swimming through the park aren't on our schedule.

In all seriousness, the safety of our residents and staff is always our top priority. We apologize for the inconvenience and can’t wait to see you all on a sunnier, drier day!

Come out to Fitzpatrick Park on August 8th & 9th to catch the tournament live! Admission is completely FREE for all spectators, so bring your family and friends to cheer on the teams.

We’ve got cold drinks and delicious food available for purchase at the concession stand to keep you fueled all day long.
