Region 1 Workforce Development Board attended last night’s City Council meeting, where the City of Beckley presented funding support for recovery initiatives.

These funds are part of opioid settlement dollars designated to address the ongoing impacts of the opioid crisis through evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery services across communities.

Region 1 WDB is honored to receive this support. These funds will directly assist individuals in recovery through career preparation services and occupational training, helping create pathways to stability and long-term employment.

We remain committed to working with our community partners to turn these investments into meaningful opportunity across Region 1.
