Robert C. Byrd Society The Robert C. While Raleigh County has elected many great democratic leaders, none of have had the lasting impact of Senator Robert C. Byrd.

Byrd Society was formed by the Raleigh County Democratic Executive Committee in memory of the service of the late Senator and his dedication to protecting the United States Constitution. Members of the Society plan host an annual Constitution Day reception featuring a speaker on Constitutional issues and to distribute copies of the Constitution to area students as a tribute to Senator Byrd.
