Join us for the Pattern Workshop – Repairing Holes with Hand Sewing on May 21 during the PATTERN: Textile Training and Manufacturing Center Open House in Beckley.
This hands-on session will walk you through simple, effective techniques to extend the life of your items—no sewing machine needed. You’ll learn:
• How to use a backstitch for strong repairs
• How to apply a patch with a whipstitch
• Practical ways to fix everyday wear and tear
All materials will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own item to repair at the end of the workshop.

Mountain Table continues to grow its impact in Southern West Virginia with the launch of Wild Vittles by Mountain Table, a new mobile food truck bringing locally sourced meals, coffee, and products to festivals and events across the region.

As a finalist in the 2025 Pitch Southern West Virginia Business Idea Competition coordinated by the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority/WV Hive, Mountain Table utilized technical assistance and funding support to expand its operations and invest in key infrastructure for the new venture.

Based in Renick, Mountain Table has built a strong reputation for its commitment to local farms, quality ingredients, and community connection.
