We had an amazing time partnering with Wythe County Community Hospital for the Teddy Bear Clinic, where 275 kindergarten students learned what happens during an emergency and got a hands-on look at the world of EMS and healthcare.

Jan-Care Ambulance joins the Fayette County community in mourning the passing of Fayette County Commissioner, Greg Fernett.

Commissioner Fernett was a dedicated public servant, a strong supporter of our youth, and a familiar, respected presence throughout the area. His commitment to our community, local athletics, and the people he served will not be forgotten.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, fellow commissioners, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in Peace, Commissioner Fernett. Thank you for your service and dedication.

Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton would like to announce the next “You Are Not Alone” outreach event.

The outreach will be held on May 30th from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the parking lot of Jan-Care, located near 117 S. Fayette St.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Robbie Johnson and the team at Jan-Care for their continued support of this outreach effort and for allowing the use of their parking lot.

The mission remains the same: No questions asked. No judgment. Just help.

This outreach will provide access to several resources for individuals struggling with substance abuse, mental health challenges, homelessness, or anyone going through difficult times. If you are struggling with substance use and are ready to take that next step, help will be available on the spot.

We encourage anyone in need—or anyone who knows someone who could benefit—to stop by.
