The City of Beckley is excited to announce that rehabilitation work is underway on the New River Park Loop Trail! To allow crews to safely complete these improvements, the trail will be temporarily closed for the next couple of weeks.

This project is an important investment in one of our community’s most-loved parks, ensuring the trail is safer, more sustainable, and more enjoyable for residents and visitors for years to come. While we know temporary closures can be inconvenient, we're excited about the lasting improvements these upgrades will bring.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Beckley Area Foundation for their generous support of this project. Their continued investment in our community helps make projects like this possible and strengthens Beckley's commitment to quality parks and outdoor recreation.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve New River Park. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed trail very soon!
