Part II of the Liner System Installation. In this video you will see the placement of 12 inches of compacted clay (two 6 inch layers). Next you will see the white layer which is Geosynthetic Clay Liner. Then you have the primary liner which is a 60 mil thick synthetic liner with a geotextile fabric on top. Stay tuned for the remaining steps over the next few weeks.

Have you ever wondered how a Landfill protects the groundwater from contamination? Here is a peek of the first layers of the liner system being installed over 6.8 acres... As a new cell is built several layers of liners are installed to prevent any Leachate from reaching the ground. In this video you will see 6 inches of compacted clay, a 40 mil thick synthetic liner and a geocomposite layer. Many more layers will be installed over the next few weeks.
