🔋 3% Battery… and a little perspective.
Most of our days are spent being pulled in a dozen different directions - work, family, responsibilities, texts, emails, calls, and everything else life throws at us.
I'm usually pretty good about keeping my phone charged. I like being connected, informed and available.
Then at the gym I looked down:
3% battery. 😳
And I actually felt a little uncomfortable. What if someone needs me? What if the phone dies?
Then it hit me…
I was going home soon anyway. It was just a battery.
Life has a way of draining our batteries, too. Stress, responsibilities, lack of sleep, poor nutrition, inactivity and simply trying to keep up can slowly take us from 100% toward empty.
That’s one reason we believe taking care of our metabolic health matters so much. Strength training. Movement. Real food. Better sleep. Managing stress. Getting outside. Spending time with people we love. And sometimes simply giving ourselves permission to recharge.
But there was an even bigger reminder in that little 3% on my screen:
Somewhere today, someone is sitting in a hospital room fighting for another day. Someone would gladly trade their biggest problem for the opportunity to wake up tomorrow, move their body, hug their family and experience one more healthy day.
So when the little things start feeling like big things…
Perspective. Gratitude. Recharge. Keep going. ❤️
Your phone can be plugged back in.
And while we can't control everything about our health or how many days we're given, we can do our best to take care of the body carrying us through them.
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Protect your health.
And be grateful for another day. 🙏🔋💪
