Join us for the last workshop as part of TEKKEN TEESHIRT TOURNAMENT by Khari Johnson-Ricks.

Suminagashi: We will make a black and white Suminagashi marbled paper using Sumi Ink and Paper. we will talk about surfactants, ink grinding, and all the other materials you need to make successful Suminagashi paper.

Come see TEKKEN TEESHIRT TOURNAMENT before it closes next week, and getchu some liveplay battles in on the artist’s very own PS5 🎮

All workshops are $25 and proceeds go to materials + supplies and keepin’ PA up and runnin’ 🙇🏾‍♂️

This Sunday! Join us for the next workshop as part of TEKKEN TEESHIRT TOURNAMENT by Khari Johnson-Rick’s

Led by artist, we will practice making one page zines, fishbone booklets, and slingshot pamphlets. Each book structure uses paper as a self contained book structure. Each of these offer practitioners agile and economical ways to make books with small amounts of material.

We are thrilled to return to the Black Zine fair tomorrow at Powerhouse Arts. We look forward to collecting, distributing, and selling zines, books and other printed materials by our divine artists in ecosystem featuring works by Cy X, Dasia Rose, DonChristian Jones, Ime Soul, Kyyyy, Lee Hooper, and Dr. zuri arman. This sunday from 12-3pm, .studio will be leading a Needle turn applique workshop!

“Have you wanted to know how to cut and sew shapes using fabric without fear of fraying edges. I know i did, for a long time i was interested in making work with silk but struggled because i didnt know how to finish the elements I was creating without large amounts of top stitching. Learn some basic stitches, leave with your own applique baby tee-shirt” - Khari

Thank you to everyone who pulled up, played, lingered, and showed love. What opened at Personality Cleaners™ is more than a show or—it’s a living space for gesture, craft, play, and community. From hand-dyed garments to cut paper works to the ongoing PS5 Tekken tournament… this one is already moving.
