It is great to see our local Bedford Drug getting some great publicity! We are thankful and proud to have you in our community!

In rural communities, a pharmacist may be the most accessible healthcare professional a patient sees.

For Michael Schweitzer, BSPharm'89, owner of Bedford Drug in southwest Iowa, expanded pharmacy practice has created new opportunities to improve patient care through chronic disease management, point-of-care testing and other clinical services.

Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions is preparing future pharmacists to step into these evolving roles through rigorous clinical education, hands-on training and a commitment to caring for the whole person.
