Fire Departments, community partners, and children who hosted Crusade Lemonade Stands all came together for the 73rd WHAS Crusade for Children telethon. On Sunday, June 7, 2026, WHAS11 was live at our Shelby County location and broadcast live on our partner WBNA21. It was hosted by WHAS11 Meteorologist Reed Yadon with special guest Barry Goodall.

Elevated Fire Weather Conditions This Afternoon...

A combination of well-above average temperatures, low relative humidity, breezy winds, and worsening drought conditions will result in elevated fire weather conditions for this afternoon. Winds will be out of the southwest this afternoon, gusting up to 20 to 25 mph, and relative humidity values will drop to around 25 to 35 percent across the area.
