Young explorers are invited to become paleontologists for the day at the Montvale Library next Monday, June 8th, at 11:30 AM!

In this hands-on activity, children will search the library for colorful “dinosaur eggs” hidden throughout the shelves. Each egg contains a small toy dinosaur inside, just waiting to be discovered. Once they’ve found their eggs, kids will pour vinegar on them and watch as the fizzing reaction slowly dissolves the shell to reveal the dinosaur.

This fun adventure combines a scavenger hunt, simple science, and a little prehistoric mystery. It’s a perfect way for kids to explore, problem-solve, and experience the excitement of uncovering hidden treasures.

Join us for a thrilling hunt as we Unearth a Story™—and a dinosaur!
Call us at 540-425-7006 or sign up online - https://bedford.librarycalendar.com/event/dino-egg-hunt-81741.

Kids and teens ages 8 to 16 are invited to join the Repurpose, Reuse, and Recycle Club at the Moneta/SML Library!

At each monthly session, we will make something useful instead of sending the items to the dump. Join us next Wednesday, June 3rd at at 3:30 PM when we'll share some repurpose and reuse ideas. Then we'll get hands-on and repurpose cardboard containers to make a tissue dispenser. There will also be time to work on your own ideas for repurposed items for a contest with a chance to win a prize.

Materials for making the tissue dispenser will be provided, but if you have any wrapping paper or stickers you'd like to use to decorate it, feel free to bring them along.

Ages 8 to 12 must have an accompanying adult stay for the length of the program. (Adults do not need to register.)
