APCA Public demo will be held September 26, 2017 @ Inman Field. Gates will open at 4 PM for the public and show will start at 6PM. There will be 50/50, K9 supporter shirts for sale, and raffle items (Colts and IU tickets). Please come out and welcome K9 teams from around the United States to Vincennes!!

K9 Maximus enjoyed visiting several members of the community Saturday night!

It was a successful night at Safe Night! K9 Maximus visited with several children, and he even got to play fetch with a few. There were plenty of fun prizes and games that Officer David Booth handed out for D.A.R.E. Lastly, thank you for your kind words and visits with our officers tonight!

K9 Maximus made a visit to Springville Elementary School last week to make several new fans in the 3rd grade class. Making special visits to see the children is awesome because they love Maximus, and it reassures them that police officers are always there to help. Maximus also visited Lincoln Elementary School earlier last week. If you're interested in Maximus visiting your child's school notify the administration in order for them to contact our department. Today Maximus and I competed in the American Police Canine Association annual sniff-off. The event included drug hides on cars, canisters and rooms. For each area of the competition there are five hides with a total of fifteen hides. Maximus' overall search time was just over six minutes, which earned him second place. I love my partner and today I am especially very proud of him!

In this post from the Bedford Police Department K-9 Maximus visited a second grade class at Parkview Primary. During the visit to the school Maximus also made a quick visit to Mrs. Debbie Moorman's kindergarten class. Maximus loves to visit with members of the community, especially the local schools. If you know of any teachers that would want to have Maximus visit their class please let us know.

A big thank you to Parkview Primary and Miss Towle's 2nd Grade class: Bedford Officer and K-9 Handler Jesse Crane and his partner, K-9 Maximus, visited the 2nd Grade class. Officer Crane spoke about being a police officer and K-9 handler and the children were able to meet K-9 Maximus. We at the Bedford Police Department are thankful for these opportunities to interact with children in our community in a positive way. We are so grateful these children enjoyed their visit and even included Officer Crane and K-9 Maximus in their very own published book!
