Harwood Junior High School

Harwood Junior High School Harwood JH is a public school in Bedford, TX and part of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School In addition, there are four PC Computer Labs on campus.

Harwood Junior High has an enrollment of approximately 1,000 seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students and a staff of 85. Harwood offers pre-AP/pre-IB classes in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The class size average is 22/1. Teachers offer tutoring sessions each school day from 7:45 - 8:05 A.M. or 3:15 - 3:45 P.M.

Our first group of Blackhawks has risen to the occasion and been named Students of the Month! Each month, two outstanding students from each grade level will be recognized for demonstrating our HAWKS values and making a positive impact at Harwood.

Thank You, Harwood PTA!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Harwood PTA for working so hard last year to make 8 new picnic tables for our cafeteria courtyard a reality!

Through fundraising, seeking grants, and securing donations, our PTA was able to provide this wonderful addition to our campus.

These tables will give students and staff a great outdoor space for lunch, outdoor learning, group activities, and so much more throughout the year.

This is PTA support at work—finding resources and creating opportunities that make a lasting difference for our students and staff!

It’s going to be a busy and exciting week! Several of our clubs are kicking off for the 2026–2027 school year, giving our Blackhawks plenty of opportunities to get involved and find their place at Harwood. And we’re ending the week BIG with our FIRST PEP RALLY of the year!
