There’s a mystery in the library!

Mrs. Chrietzberg had the 3rd graders put on their detective hats during their library lesson and got to work solving a book mystery!

Students examined discarded library books and used their detective skills to figure out why each book had been removed from the collection. From outdated information to worn-out pages and other clues, our young investigators had to look closely and think critically to crack the case!

What a creative way to learn more about how our library collection is cared for and maintained. Great job, detectives, and great lesson, Mrs. Chrietzberg!

Champion of the Week: Mrs. Neal!

Since coming to Shady Brook, Mrs. Neal has taken the math world by storm!

Her passion for teaching, commitment to her students, and ability to make math meaningful and engaging have made an immediate impact on our campus. She sets high expectations, works incredibly hard, and is always looking for ways to help her students grow and succeed.

We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Neal as part of the Shady Brook family, and we can't wait to see all that she continues to accomplish!

Champion of the Week: Mrs. Tyson!

Since moving up to 5th Grade RLA this school year, Mrs. Tyson has done an amazing job taking on a new challenge! She continues to put in the extra time, working late and even on the weekends to make sure her students get her very best.

What makes Mrs. Tyson so special is how much she truly loves her kids, and it is easy to see how much they love her right back!

Champion of the Week: Mrs. Chrietzberg!

Mrs. Chrietzberg is so much more than our librarian! She is always looking for new ways to create opportunities and experiences for our students. She started our Student Council, has transformed the library to include STEM activities and hands-on learning, and is constantly bringing new ideas and events to Shady Brook.

Her creativity, initiative, and dedication to our students make our school a better place. We are lucky to have her!

Coach Young will be our new P.E. Teacher! He has 15 years of experience in education and will also be coaching baseball at L.D. Bell High School. He loves sports and spending time with family, especially his wife and 5 kids. We are excited to have you at SBE!
