Itโs almost that time, yโall! ๐ธ๐ If you plan on attending Bedford Beats and Eats Fest this Saturday, September 5 at Generations Park at Boys Ranch, the info below is all you need to know when it comes to parking. ๐๐ผ
Please note, there will be NO on-site general parking at Generations Park at Boys Ranch.

Free parking and shuttle service will be provided from Pennington Field (1501 Central Dr.) to Generations Park at Boys Ranch. Shuttle service will begin at 2 p.m.
After parking at Pennington Field, walk across the parking lot to the entrance of the Gene A. Buinger Career and Technical Education Academy (1849 Central Dr.). Shuttles will be picking up and dropping off festival attendees from this location, cycling between Generations Park and Pennington Field. Please view the attached maps for the complete shuttle route.

In addition to the free shuttle service, there will be free public parking at Bedford City Hall (2000 Forest Ridge Dr.), City Hall Annex (1805 L. Don Dodson Dr.), in the grass lot located across from City Hall Annex, Old Bedford School (2400 School Lane), and the Bedford Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.). These lots are all park and walk locations. Please view the attached map for all parking locations.

A LIMITED amount of accessible (handicap) parking spots will be available at Generations Park near the ballfields, 2801 Forest Ridge Dr. You must have an accessible placard or license plate in order to park in this area. Please enter this area at Harwood Road and McLain Road (by the post office).
If all accessible spots are full at Generations Park, accessible parking is also available at Pennington Field. Festival attendees will be able to get to and from the park via accessible (handicap) shuttles. Just look for the universal accessible (handicap) symbol on the bus.

If you will be using Uber, Lyft, or another ride share app driver, please have them drop you off and pick you up at the Bedford Library (2424 Forest Ridge Dr.) to avoid any road closures and pedestrians. The City will have Ride Share App signage in place.

Please respect all traffic laws (which will be strictly enforced) and be considerate to the neighborhoods adjacent to the park when finding parking locations for the festival. Cars that are illegally parked will be subject to towing.
Also, please be mindful of no parking signs throughout the neighborhoods surrounding the park. Signs will be set-up on the fire hydrant side of the roadway this week for public safety reasons. Please DO NOT relocate them to driveways or the other side of the street.

Weโll have a few road closures in place the day of the event:
โช๏ธ Beginning at noon, Forest Ridge Drive (from Harwood Road to Shady Lane) is closed. This does include access of Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire Drive at Forest Ridge Drive.
โช๏ธ Beginning at noon, Harwood Road (from McLain to Forest Ridge Dr.) will have one lane open going eastbound.
โช๏ธ Beginning at noon, the westbound inside and turn lane at Harwood Road (from Bedfordshire to Forest Ridge Dr.) is closed.
โช๏ธ Beginning at 12:30 p.m., Lakeview Drive will be closed to non-residents. The only access point to Lakeview Drive will be through Shady Lake Drive. If you live on Lakeview Drive and are coming in or out of the street, please make sure to have either a hangtag in your car (provided by the City) or an ID handy, as City staff will be checking these in order to pass through.
โช๏ธ Beginning around 10 p.m. (and continuing after the event is over), there will be no westbound traffic on L. Don Dodson Drive (from EM Bilger Jr. Blvd. to Forest Ridge Dr.)
