Salt Painting Trick
The kind of rainy day fun that’s better than cartoons.
Ingredients:
- Black or dark-colored cardstock or heavy paper
- White school glue (PVA glue)
- Table salt (granulated)
- Watercolor paints or liquid food coloring
- Paintbrushes or pipettes
- Small cups or palette for colors
- Paper towels or plastic tablecloth (for easy cleanup)
Directions:
1. First, cover your workspace to catch any little spills.
2. With a steady hand, draw your designs using the white glue on the dark paper, letting your creativity flow freely.
3. Generously sprinkle salt over the glue lines, gently shaking off any extra salt.
4. Prepare your colors by diluting the paint with a bit of water.
5. Using a brush or pipette, drop the colored liquid onto the salt lines and watch the magic unfold as the colors spread and dance.
6. Finally, let your beautiful creations air-dry completely before you admire them or proudly display them around the house.
