Honoring History. Celebrating Freedom.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865 - the day enslaved African Americans learned they were free. Today is a time to reflect on the importance of freedom, equality, and continued progress while recognizing the significance of this important moment in American history.

Respect. Dignity. Protection.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day highlights a serious issue affecting older adults and families, including financial exploitation, neglect, emotional or physical abuse, mistreatment in care, and rights violations.

Every older adult deserves safety, respect, and value. Whether at home or care facilities, no concern is too small. HBFAAA urges families, caregivers, and communities to stay vigilant, check on loved ones, and speak up when necessary. Awareness, compassion, and advocacy help protect older adults.
