INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: At 00:33 AM on Saturday morning, smoke in the building was reported at Ministerial Road. As companies were responding, Fire Alarm updated that resident reports house is full of smoke and smoke alarms are sounding, and there was fire visible. 1st alarm struck en route. Upon arrival heavy black/grey smoke showing from the 2nd floor over the attached garage. Occupants report that all 3 occupants are accounted for and have evacuated. Engine 4 pulled a 1.5 hoseline and deployed it to the stairway to access the room over the garage, fire appeared isolated to 2nd floor above the garage, no obvious extension to the main house. Engine 3 became the water supply. 2nd alarm struck for manpower and water supply. Companies vented all 4 dormer windows, fire extinguished, overhaul completed. Companies sent to 2nd and 1st floor of main house to check for extension and found none, passive ventilation completed on 1st and 2nd floor of main house. Utilities shut off and isolated by responding companies. Foam applied to fire area, companies ventilated, and gas monitoring completed in main house on 1st, 2nd floors and basement with 0 readings found. Mutual aid companies released, Bedford companies released. C2 and K1 remained on scene for preliminary investigation.
