👏Congrats to 2020 Adult Volunteer of Year: Deborah Allbach 👏

Deborah is a committed member of the Friends of the Library, a former Board member, and a seemingly tireless volunteer. She also volunteers as a shelver while devoting many hours to sorting donated materials for the Friends’ Book Sale. Deborah has organized two book sales during the pandemic and devised ways to encourage sales while ensuring a safer way for people to shop. The Library is very fortunate to have Deborah on our team of volunteers.

👏Congrats to 2020 Adult Volunteer of Year: Marla Hoffman👏

Marla was an active member of the Bedford Library Friends. She loved the Library, dedicating many hours to keeping the Friends Book Nook neat and orderly, working the big book sales, and selling pumpkins in the Pumpkin Patch each fall. During the year, Marla also served as 2nd Vice President of the Friends. Marla sadly passed away last fall, but we will never forget her time with us. She was loved by all who knew her and is truly missed.

Anya Ali has selected the Bedford Public Library for her Silver Award Project. Her project is about spreading happiness so she is creating The Happiness Tree. This tree will be covered in a colorful crochet patchwork and feature kindness rocks. As part of her community outreach project, Anya will be placing a bench in the Pumpkin Patch field for people to sit and enjoy. She will be raising money for this bench. The Bedford Public Library Foundation is excited to help Anya by accepting donations for the bench to be placed around the tree online at bedfordlibraryfoundation.org or in person at the Library. #ilovebpltx #happinesstree #girlscoutsilverproject #kindnessrocks
