Bedford Area Ambulance Service was established in 1971 as a non-profit organization to provide emergency care to the residents and visitors of Bedford and the surrounding area. Bedford Area Ambulance Service is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Basic and Advanced Life Support Ambulance Service. In 2009, Bedford Area Ambulance Service established its first sub-station located a

t the Imler Area Volunteer Fire Department to assist the residents of Imler and the surrounding area. In 2013, Bedford Area Ambulance Service answered approximately 2,000 calls for help. The organization's field staff is made up of paid and volunteer Emergency Medical Responders (EMR's), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's), Paramedics and Pre-Hospital Registered Nurses (PHRN's).

❤️ One of our Bedford Area Ambulance staff's family needs our help.

Early Thursday morning, the sister of one of our staff members and her family lost everything in a devastating house fire. While we are incredibly thankful they all made it out safely, they are now beginning the difficult journey of rebuilding their lives from nothing.

The attached graphic includes their immediate clothing and household needs, along with sizes for each family member.

💙 A couple of special requests:

Zayne (7) loves playing PS5 with his cousin, Roblox, and building with LEGO® sets. Gift cards, games, or LEGO sets would be a wonderful way to help him smile again.
Zander (5) absolutely loves Transformers and lost his entire collection in the fire. If anyone has a Transformer toy they would like to donate, it would mean more than you know.
