Applications have opened for Taylor County 4-H Livestock Committees.

This committee will support Taylor County 4-H Staff, livestock superintendents, volunteers and members in conducting meaningful educational experiences to help youth grow and reach their full potential for Taylor County 4-H. They will also work alongside the junior livestock superintendents.

Committee applications are due to Kristen by Wednesday, September 16 and will be reviewed by the Taylor County Extension Council.

Hard work goes well beyond the show ring and these ladies know plenty about that. While exhibiting their beef at the Iowa State Fair this week, Kali, Kambri and Dani received 4th place overall in herdsmanship!

Judging is based on cleanliness of alleys and stalls, arrangement of equipment, grooming of cattle, stall signage, and being present with their cattle.
