Bedford Police would like to thank our regional law enforcement partners for their outstanding collaboration and dedication in bringing this group to justice. This same crew was linked to a Bedford case from October 2025, when an ATM was stolen from the 7-Eleven at Harwood Drive and SH 121. We’re grateful for the teamwork across agencies that helped hold these individuals accountable and keep our communities safer.

A five-month-long investigation has led to a bust.
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, our Officers conducted a joint operation with the Dallas Police Department, Euless Police Department, Bedford Police Department, along with Special Agents from the Texas Department of Public Safety, to apprehend three suspects responsible for hundreds of vehicle burglaries and multiple ATM thefts throughout the Metroplex. Following the arrests, investigators recovered stolen vehicles, fi****ms and large amounts of narcotics and cash.
All three suspects were subsequently transported to the Grapevine Police Jail and booked on dozens of felony arrest warrants issued by law enforcement agencies throughout DFW.
Great teamwork by our Officers and a huge thanks to every agency that assisted in this collaboration!

Heads up, Bedford! 🚨

Heads up, Bedford! 🚨

Heads up, Bedford! 🚨⚠️ The City will conduct a scheduled test of its emergency notification system on Thursday, April 2 between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in conjunction with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

The test will ONLY include a test of Bedford’s emergency alerts (learn more and sign-up: www.bedfordtx.gov/alert). The City regularly tests its outdoor warning sirens, so the sirens will not be included.

This test will also be conducted by hundreds of our communities across Texas on this day and will help ensure all emergency notification systems are operating properly. They may also be testing their sirens or phone notifications.

β€Ό This is ONLY A TEST. There is NO EMERGENCY and no action is required. β€Ό

Because other cities across the state are participating, you may receive more than one test alert on your phone or email. While this may be inconvenient, do NOT opt out of emergency alerts. They are a critical tool for sharing urgent information during real emergencies and can help save lives.

For more information about this test, please visit the TDEM website at https://tdem.texas.gov/press-release/3-18-26-drill.

Speeding is one of the leading causes of crashes – and it’s something we can all control! In Bedford, nearly 300 crashes last year were linked to excessive speed. It also takes much longer to stop than many drivers realize – about 120 feet at 30 mph and 164 feet at 40 mph.

We all have places to be, but getting there safely matters more.

As spring break wraps up, remember school zones will be back in effect Monday morning. 🚸🚨 Slow down, stay alert, and watch for our kiddos returning to campus.
