The Bee Cave Police Department is a highly professional law enforcement agency located just 17 miles west of the City of Austin, Texas.

The BCPD page was created to deliver information to the community on current crime trends, community events, safety and security tips, and issues relevant to recruit the citizens of Bee Cave and Lake Travis into a partnership with the BCPD to identify and suppress criminal activity. What the BCPD Facebook is not. This page is not a forum to express your negative personal views of the Bee Cave Police Department or the City of Bee Cave. There is a formal process for addressing those issues as we believe in delivery of the upmost professional police services to this community. SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES

COLLISION - LTS: On 11/23/2020 Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of RR 620 S., for a reported Leaving the Scene Accident. A report was generated.

BURGLARY - COMMERCIAL: On Tuesday, 24 November 2020 at 0741 hours, Officers were dispatched to a Burglary - Commercial call at McSpadden’s Automotive located at 14422 Hwy 71 W. Officers met with employees who stated someone cut the chain to the back gate, broke a window, and stole numerous tools from employee workstations. The investigation is ongoing.

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION: On 11/24/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Suspicious Circumstances call at the Speedy Stop located at 13006 Hwy 71 W. Officers met with the caller who had located a credit card skimmer on pump #1. Officers took custody of the skimmer and the investigation is ongoing.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE / P.O.C.S. PG3: On 11/24/2020 Officers self-initiated a traffic stop within the 3400 block of RR 620 S., the vehicle returned stolen and the driver was charged for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle State - Jail Felony and Possession of Controlled Substances - Misdemeanor A.

OUT OF JURISDICTION WARRANT: On 11/18/2020, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 13100 block of Hwy 71 for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested and booked into the Travis County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
COLLISION - LTS: On 11/25/2020 Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to the 12800 block of Bee Cave Parkway for a Collision leaving the scene. Report generated.
FORGERY/FRAUD: On 11/25/2020 Bee Cave Officer were advised of a resident wanting to file a fraud report. Officer made contact with the subject who advised her debit card was used without her consent in San Marcos.

FORGERY/FRAUD: On 11/25/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to Homeland subdivision in reference to forgery/fraud. Dispatch advised that the caller was a victim of identity theft and that someone used his social security number to file for unemployment.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE/ CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 11/27/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Burglary of a Vehicle call in the parking lot of Park Manor located at 14058 Bee Cave Pkwy. Officers met with the caller who stated someone had broken into his vehicle during the night. The investigation is ongoing.

DISTURBANCE: On 11/27/2020 Officers were dispatched to the 13400 block of Galleria Circle for a reported Verbal Disturbance, a report was generated.

LEAVING SCENE OF ACCIDENT: On 11/27/2020, Bee Cave officers were dispatched to a minor collision in the 4000 block of Ranch Road 620 in which one of the drivers had left the scene. The victim’s mirror had been struck by the suspects’ vehicle who failed to stop. The incident is under investigation.
WELFARE CHECK/ INFORMATION REPORT: On 11/28/2020, Bee Cave officers were dispatched to the Cielo Apartments in reference to a complainant who was concerned about her ex-boyfriend coming over to pick up his car. An investigation was conducted, and car was retrieved without incident.
ORD. VIO. - NOISE VIOLATION: On 10/16/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to the 15000 block of Hamilton Pool Road for a noise disturbance. Numerous callers stated that they could hear loud gun fire. Officers completed a report.

LOST PROPERTY: On 11/28/2020, Bee Cave units were contacted by an individual who lost their wallet while dining at the Maudie's Mexican Restaurant. The complainant was provided a case number so that they could replace their lost identity documents.

BURGLARY: On 11/29/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Burglary call at the Field of Dreams Sports Park located at 13909 Hwy 71 W. Officers met with the caller who stated someone cut open the back gate and stole two (2) mobile light trailers from the property. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT BY CONTACT: On 11/29/2020, Bee Cave units spoke to a complainant regarding a prior assault that occurred at the Park Manor assisted living facility. The complainant stated that she was not injured during the assault and she did not wish to have the suspect prosecuted. The incident was documented at the request of the victim.

THEFT: On 11/29/2020, Bee Cave units were contacted by Best Buy, who stated that a male subject had taken several items from the store prior to fleeing in a vehicle. A description for the suspect and the associated vehicle was provided to responding units and an investigation is pending.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS/ INFORMATION REPORT: On 11/29/2020, Officers were dispatched to a verbal disturbance call at the Cielo Apartments located at 3501 S RR 620. Officers met with the complainant who stated her friend was arguing with her boyfriend and the boyfriend refused to leave despite being asked several times. The boyfriend was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and left the property.
INVASIVE VISUAL RECORDING/ INFORMATION REPORT: On 11/29/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Disorderly Conduct call at HEB located at 12400 Hwy 71 W. Officers met with the victim who stated an unknown suspect had taken a picture up her skirt while she was shopping.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: On 11/29/2020, Bee Cave units were dispatched to a vehicle burglary at Primitive Park, which occurred between the hours of 1430 and 1533, according to the complainant. Bee Cave units processed the scene, and an investigation is pending.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: On 11/29/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Burglary of a Vehicle call in the parking lot of Field of Dreams located at 13909 Hwy 71 W. The complainant stated someone broken his passenger window and stole his wallet which was left inside the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY - VEHICLE: On 11/29/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to a burglary of a vehicle report. The complainant stated that she left her vehicle unlocked and someone took her backpack from inside her vehicle. Officers completed a report.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED MB: On 11/29/2020 Officers were dispatched to the 18000 block of Hwy 71 for a reported Reckless Driver, the subject was found to be intoxicated and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES:

LTS COLLISION: On 11/16/2020, Officers were dispatched to the police department for a collision leaving the scene that occurred a couple days prior in the 3600 block of RR 620 S.

DWI: On 11/16/2020, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 15000 block of HWY 71 W. Upon further investigation the driver was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

UUMV/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: On 11/18/2020, Officers were notified via security cameras of a stolen vehicle leaving the Falconhead neighborhood headed towards S RR 620. Officers located the vehicle, and the occupants were detained without incident until the vehicle was confirmed stolen from the San Antonio Police Department. Both occupants were arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Trespass and transported to the Travis County Jail.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE/ LTS COLLISION: On 11/19/2020, Officers were contacted by a complainant who stated that he was involved in a collision LTS (leaving the scene) in the 14300 block of Hamilton Pool Rd. The complainant stated that the suspect vehicle may have intentionally collided with his vehicle after a possible road rage incident. A license plate for the suspect vehicle was recorded and an investigation is pending.

EMERGENCY DETENTION: On 11/19/2020, Officers were dispatched to a Suspicious Person call at Walgreens located at 12200 Bee cave Pkwy. Officers located the subject who stated she was in need of medical attention. A/TC EMS transported her to the Baylor Scott and White hospital in Lakeway for a mental health evaluation.

THEFT: On 11/19/2020, Officers were dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 13908 Hwy 71 W for a stolen license plate. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the parties involved. Officers generated a theft report.

DWI: On 11/20/2020, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 15700 block of Highway 71 W. Upon further investigation, the driver was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

FOUND PROPERTY: On 11/20/2020, Officers located a lost Texas trailer license plate.

THEFT: 11/20/2020, Officers responded to the parking lot of the Police Department for a report of a prior theft of a package in the 12500 block of Hwy 71 W. An investigation is ongoing.

EVADING ARREST USING VEHICLE/ RESISTING ARREST: On 11/20/2020, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance located in the 15800 block of Hamilton Pool Rd. Upon arrival units engaged in a pursuit with a subject. Officers apprehended the subject and placed her under arrest.

BURGLARY RESIDENTIAL: On 11/20/2020, Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary call in the 5400 block of Carbine Cir. Officers gathered evidence for an investigation.

EVADING ARREST/ FAIL TO ID/ WARRANT ARREST: On 11/20/2020, Officers observed a suspicious person who had been involved in past thefts in the 12900 block of Hill Country Blvd. Officers found that this subject had warrants from another agency. The subject briefly evaded detention. Officers placed the subject under arrest for Evading Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor), Failure to Identify as a Fugitive (Class A Misdemeanor) and the outstanding warrants.

POM: On 11/21/2020, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person at Dillard’s. Upon further investigation the subject was cited and released for possession of Marijuana.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: On 11/22/2020, Officers were dispatched to a report of a burglary of a vehicle which occurred between 11/20/2020 – 11/21/2020 in the 12500 block of Hwy 71 W. Officers gathered information for an investigation.

THEFT: On 11/22/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of RR 620 S for a theft that had occurred. The subjects cut security devices and stole several ring camera devices.

“The Bee Cave Police Department recently conducted their twice annual fitness testing. Officers are allowed to choose between the standard PRT (Pushups, crunches, and 1.5 mile run), Concept 2 row machine, or the Combat Fitness Test (Wall ball, Deadlift, Box jump, Push-press, and rower). Each testing period the Police Department holds a Fittest Shift challenge for the shift with the highest average score. We would like to recognize and congratulate Sgt Joe Reid, Officer Shayne Castro, and Officer Maria Katayama for being the fittest shift. Good job everyone!”

COLLISION – LTS: On 11/09/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to the 3600 RR 620 S for a report leaving the scene of an accident. Officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who stated that while shopping someone had struck his vehicle. Officers completed a report.

COLLISION – LTS: On 11/09/2020, Bee Cave Officers met with a complainant who stated his vehicle was stuck in the early morning hours. Officers observed the damage to be fresh and generated a report.

ANIMAL ATTACK / BITE: On 11/09/2020, Bee Cave officers were dispatched to an animal bite incident at Cielo apartments which occurred previously. A dog previously bit a person who was walking outside. The incident is still under investigation.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On 11/10/2020, Bee Cave Officers conducted a traffic stop and located that the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited, and his vehicle was towed for not having current insurance.

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION: On 11/11/2020, Bee Cave Officers were advised of a fraudulent use of identifying information report. Officers completed a report.

THEFT: On 11/12/2020 Bee Cave Officers were advised a of theft that occurred at Dillard's. Officer's advised that a female left the business with a pair of Polo sweatpants. A report was generated.

DECEASED PERSON/ UNATTENDED DEATH: On 11/13/2020, Bee cave Officers with dispatched to an Assist - EMS call located in the 15800 block of Hamilton Pool Rd. for an elderly male who was cold to the touch. Officers arrived on scene and found the male was previously deceased.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On 11/14/2020, Bee Cave Officers observed a suspicious person standing in the parking lot of a closed business located in the 3600 block of RR 620 S. Officers contacted the subject who was intoxicated and unable to secure a ride with a responsible party. Officers arrested and booked him into Travis Co Jail for public intoxication.

EVADING ARREST/DETENTION USING VEH: On 11/14/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 14000 block of Bee Cave Parkway for a reckless driver. Dispatch advised that the caller stated that a black mustang was traveling at 100 MPH and passing vehicles in the turn lane. Officers responded and located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed and failed to stop. Officers were able to identify the driver and a warrant will be issue for his arrest.

COLLISION – LTS: On 11/14/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to the 12700 block of Shops Parkway for a leaving the scene of an accident report. Dispatch advised that the caller stated that someone had struck his vehicle while he was inside the store. Officers arrived and completed a report.

MAJOR COLLISION – 11/14/2020 at 11:31 am, major collision with multiple persons transported to local hospitals, Life threatening injury to one of the occupants. Falcon Head and RR 620.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS WARNING / PODP: On 11/14/2020, Bee Cave Officers were dispatched to the 13300 block of Galleria Circle for a Suspicious Person(s) who were reported throwing water bottles off the garage’s rooftop. A subject received a Criminal Trespass Warning, and an additional subject received a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All subjects were juvenile.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On 11/14/2020, Bee Cave Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Officers located the driver to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited and released.

DWI: On 11/15/2020, Bee Cave Officers conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. Officers found the driver to be intoxicated. Officers arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated and transported to Travis County jail.

MJOR COLLISION W/ MOTORCYCLE – 11/15/2020 at 3:28 pm in the 13100 block Highway 71, collision between motorcycle and vehicle. Motorcycle driver transported with injuries.

FORGERY/FRAUD: On 11/15/2020, Bee Cave Officers while at the PD they were approached by a male subject wanting to report fraud. The male subject stated that he had paid for a seven-day health retreat however when they arrived too Bee Cave from California the person providing the retreat was no responding to his phone calls or emails. Officers completed a fraud report and will forward to CID.

TRAFFIC STOP: On November 15th, Bee Cave office conducted a traffic stop in the 12400 block of Hwy 71 for a traffic violation. The driver was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, he was cited and released.
