⚠️ The City of Bee Cave will be participating in a statewide drill that is testing emergency alert capabilities. This is in coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). ⚠️

As part of the test, the city will send an alert through Voyent, our emergency notification system. The message will clearly state that this is only a test and no action is required.

As numerous entities will be participating in this statewide drill, residents may receive more than one test alert.

The purpose of this test is to confirm system functionality and identify areas for improvement before an actual emergency.

📲If you haven’t already, sign up for emergency alerts here:

The City of Bee Cave is pleased to announce that all parties have signed the final settlement agreement regarding the warehouses in the Sweetwater neighborhood.

This agreement clears the way for CesiumAstro to acquire the development and transform the warehouses into its new global headquarters. CesiumAstro has announced plans to invest $500 million in the project and estimates the creation of approximately 500 new high-tech jobs over the next five years.

Throughout this process, the City of Bee Cave worked diligently to negotiate terms that protect the surrounding community. The agreement includes a strict limit of no more than eight semi-truck trips per month, with all truck traffic required to be escorted.

In addition, the settlement establishes clear standards for future development in the Sweetwater neighborhood, ensuring that growth aligns with and protects community interests.

“This was a long and challenging process, but our quality of life is worth fighting for,” said Bee Cave Mayor Kara King. “This outcome is a win for our community because it supports responsible development while encouraging continued investment in Central Texas.”

With the ex*****on of this agreement, the litigation is fully resolved.

This city inherited a mess, and we’ve done our best to turn a development we didn’t ask for, or approve, into something we hope to call a community pillar with a preexisting Bee Cave tenant.

I’m proud to be part of this Council and work alongside this great group of volunteers. While we reached a big win today with the settlement, we will continue to uproot fraud and hold all public officials, past and present, accountable to the highest ethical standards.

Thank you to Mayor King, Council, our wonderful legal team, city staff, and every resident who has supported this long journey up to this point. I’m looking forward to a strong 2026 continuing to represent the residents of our community.

The city is committed to transparency and accountability. Here are the terms of the settlement agreement with the developers of the warehouse distribution center off Hwy 71.

Under the terms, the building will be sold to Cesium Astro, a space satellite company, and the number of 18-wheeler trips will be decreased from hundreds per day to no more than 8 per month.

Mayor King has signed this agreement on behalf of the city along with Velocis and KBC, the developers of the West Austin Business Park. The agreement will go into effect once all parties have signed, which is expected soon. Additional details can be found on the city's website, link in comments 👇
