Comcast wire down across block street.
When you see our emergency vehicle with the flashing lights that means you can not pass through. We already had two cars go nose to nose with our squad thinking they could just get by. Please be respectful for everyone’s safety. Thank you.

UPDATE 4:35 pm. Comcast is on scene making the repair.

Village of Beecher Emergency Management Agency Bolsters Disaster Preparedness with Earthrise Energy RISE Grant

BEECHER, IL – The Village of Beecher Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is proud to announce it has been awarded a $14,500 RISE Grant from Earthrise Energy. This generous funding was used to purchase a new mobile light tower/generator, significantly enhancing the agency’s ability to respond to emergencies at any hour.

In disaster response and public safety, visibility is life. This new equipment will provide critical illumination for first responders during nighttime natural disasters, search and rescue operations, and large-scale community events.

"These pieces of equipment are essential for restoring our operational capability and preparedness," said Robert Heim, EMA Director. "We are incredibly grateful to Earthrise Energy for recognizing this need and investing in the safety of the Beecher community."

The award is part of Earthrise Energy’s RISE Grant Program, which supports initiatives focused on excellence in education, protecting the environment, and enhancing community health and safety.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and continue through this evening, ending overnight for areas southeast of Interstate 80. Periods of rain will continue Wednesday morning, ending from northwest to southeast. The rain may mix with some light snow as it ends for areas north of Interstate 80. Very windy conditions are expected Thursday night into Friday as a strong cold front moves across the region.
