π Search Warrants Executed on East Sarah Street; Two Arrested
Earlier today, a Beeville Police Department patrol sergeant responded after the owner of stolen property reported they believed their property was inside a residence in the 400 block of E. Sarah Street.
During the initial investigation, the patrol sergeant developed probable cause that led to a search warrant for the residence. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) then assumed the investigation and obtained the search warrant.
While executing the warrant, investigators located suspected narcotics inside the home. Based on those findings, detectives obtained a second search warrant to continue the investigation.
During the searches, investigators recovered stolen property, suspected methamphetamine, and ma*****na.
As a result, Christopher Curtis was arrested and charged with Endangering a Child, Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1, 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams), Possession of Ma*****na, and Theft of Property. Ashley Curtis was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1, Less Than 1 Gram) and Endangering a Child.
The investigation remains active, and additional charges may be filed as investigators continue processing evidence.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
