Did you know Harford County is home to 5 stops along the Civil War Trails network?

These interpretive sites share stories of the local people, places and troop movements connected to the Civil War, with stops including McCourtney's General Store (located at Historic Jerusalem Mill Village), the Bel Air Court House, Alfred B. Hilton Park, the Carter-Archer House and Mariner Point Park.

Looking for something unique to do this weekend? 👀 Take a step back in time with mansion tours at Susquehanna State Park! 🏛️ Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP soon -spots are first come, first served! Maryland State Parks

Step back in time with a guided tour of the historic Carter-Archer Mansion at Susquehanna State Park.

Learn about the history of the land, the families who lived there, and what life was like in the “Land of Promise.” Tours are held rain or shine and are recommended for ages 11 and older.

The tour begins Sunday, October 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the Rock Run Historic Area. Registration is required, and space is limited to 15 participants. To register, email [email protected] by 9 a.m. on October 25

Stop by their free Fall Fest happening on November 7th, for a day filled with fall fun!

📍1617 Eden Mill Rd, Pylesville

💵 Both the nature center + park are free to visit

👋 The Nature Center has a kids corner, sensory-based learning activities throughout, and a new topography table

🐍 Animals to meet (😉 sign up for one of their free family feed events for an up close look at their resident reptiles)

🔍 A fun scavenger hunt to further explore, complete with a prize

📖 The StoryWalk trail begins just outside of the Nature Center building and leads down to a flat + kid-friendly trail

🌊 There are waterfront access points along the way, with a rocky/sandy shoreline to play

🥾For additional trails + a kids outdoor nature play area, head over to trailhead on Eden Mill Rd

🏫 Stop inside the Grist Mill to discover the history behind Eden Mill

🅿️ I prefer to park in the large paved lot located on Fawn Grove Rd. It’s clearly marked and an easier entry point if visiting with kids.
