Harford County Commission for Women The Commission, composed of 15 members, appointed by the County Executive, shall be advisory to the County Executive, the Department of Community Services and the Coordinator of the Office.

Harford County Commission for Women was established in 1977 to promote the economic, social, and political equality of women.

Congratulations Morgan Hennigan - winner of the Harford County Woman of Tomorrow Award - Grades 7-8.
Morgan Hennigan is a 14-year-old eighth-grader at Bel Air Middle School. She created Camp Quest, a summer camp for children living in Harford Family House and initiated the return of Game Changers at Bel Air Middle School, which encourages students to solve problems within their school. Morgan is a part of the National Junior Honor Society and the Harford County Public Schools’ Student Mental Health Council and aims to attend the biomedical program and pursue a career in forensic science.

Congratulations Ava Lee Freeland - winner of the Harford County Woman of Tomorrow Awards - Grades 9-10.
Ava Lee Freeland is a 14-year-old freshman at The John Carroll School who volunteers with Harford Family House, The Sharing Table, and as a shadow host for prospective students. Ava is passionate about the environment and completed her Girl Scout Silver Award project on environmental sustainability by organizing an educational event for younger Scouts. Ava maintains a 4.5 GPA and aims to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award, and attend college on a scholarship.

Congratulations Morgan Teefy - winner of the Harford County Woman of Tomorrow Award - Grades 11-12.
Morgan is a 17-year-old junior at Havre de Grace High School and vice president of the Junior Class Council. She is a member of the Tri-M Music and National Honor Societies and the Multicultural Club. Morgan completed her Girl Scout Gold Award with a project at Steppingstone Museum, creating a replica of an old schoolhouse room, including an interactive flipbook that showcased historic schoolhouses. Morgan intends to pursue a career in speech therapy after college.
